George Dingeldein: You cannot use those TiVos with DirecTV. Those TiVos are only only for OTA and cable (they have antenna and cable tuners built in, but not satellite tuners or A/V input to support a satellite box). The only TiVo models compatible with DirecTV, as Series 1 or 2 models (yes in SD only), or the DirecTV TiVo models (again, only SD for DirecTV.)Whatever standalone TiVos you get, each needs subscribed to the service, but each TiVo after the first gets a discount rate....Show more
