Melvin Nakama: Well according to popular Christian belief there was no rain fall until the time of the flood and there isn't a verse that specifies if there was only two of each animal after creation.Other then they had to repopulate the earth with a minimal amount of diversity, nothing is similar.
Darrin Hixenbaugh: I think the main parallel is that both the creation story and the flood story are fables and never actually happened. Given that, the rest doesn't really matter.
Gale Hartt: Noah and the flood marks recreation because they were to many sinners on earth, so God flooded the earth and took two of every animal to continue the life of animals. Everybody not on the boat basically died and were sinners who didn't believe. Im not sure what similarities you are looking for but it just happened because God wanted it to.
