Tillie Wynott: You probably just have OCD type symptoms.I do too, but for different things.Like when im on the computer, people can NOT be in the same room as me, or I have to minimize everything.orlike on my myspace the very bottom of my profile HAS to be perfectly even on both sides or I get really mad. But, I don't have "diagnosed" OCD, just the symptoms of being that way....Show more
Donte Liversedge: Do a load or two every day or every other day, so you don't get stuck doing it all at once. Don't ever leave your washer & dryer running while you're away, as some have suggested. That's asking for trouble!!!!!
Salvatore Walls: If your tables and all have to be a certain way at all times when you walk in, then yes it is probably OCD. I have it and most of my family has it. It least you know things will always be clean.
Jon Bergmeier: baby steps!!!do a little bit through out the week. maybe not everday but at least 2 or 3 times a week...but multi task to! o. do other things that need to get done while doing the laundry...its really easy and saves alot of time.
Rose Krouse: put it in the washer b4 u leave..then put it in the dryer after work..then do w/e u do.and fold them sorta b4 u go to bed.
Bruno Galasso: I am a mother of 2 and my husband and i both work full time jobs. I completely understand not having time to keep up with it. I suggest this:1. wash, dry, put up all laudry except what u r wearing at that time. 2. everyday you get home and change throw the clothes in the washer(hubby does the same). ya'll can combine it all into one load. dry it and put it up before you go to bed. 3. everyday repeat this. it's a pain in the ars at times but you get use to it. GOOD LUCK!! I hope this helps!!!...Show more
Bryant Chaudhry: try to do 1 wash a day its only the 2 of you that should work for you, good luck I will be checking back for answers to this myself with a family of 5.. 1 a day doesn't cut it...IT NEV! ER GOES AWAY...
Branden Roddick: ocd seems to be when a ! person cannot be deterred from doing something no matter what, or otherwise they get uptight, frustrated and agitated. Ocd is also when a single act is repeated over and over or concerns jerms or some fear. If you are overcleaning your house perhaps you are ignoring your children. It's better to be (at that time in life) closer to your children than tied to your cleaning. Sure cleaning needs to be done and your husband's needs met but you don't hve to have a house cleaned before you leave it. I do understand that when you return you want a really nice and clean home. I used to be that way when I was married. So no, I don't think you have a problem. It is when things become obsessive or too much of a good thing that one needs to slow it down a bit.
Weldon Totaro: Oh I hear ya on having the laundry stack up. We have myself and my husband and our 3 kids. We all have two changes of clothes a day school/work uniforms and regular clothes. I do laundry every day it! s not fun but the easiest way to keep on top of it I have found it to get a few of those big rolling laundry carts with a few bins and seperate everything so there is no sorting before tossing it all in the washer. Just take it off and put in in the right bin.I keep one in the laundry room and one in each bathroom. It took a while to get hubby and kids used to sorting the stuff correctly but it saves me alot of time....Show more
Clinton Migliori: The trick is to set a study date at the laundromat and keep it every week, no matter what. I also pre-sort my laundry as clothes are changed through the day/evening. Whites go in one collapsible laundry basket, perm.press in another, my delicates in third, jeans & socks are sorted separately from towels and sheets. You get the idea. That way it doesn't take so long at the laundry machines, either....Show more
Kirk Coolbeth: Everyone has it, to a degree. My PERSONAL opinion is that you have it. A very wise frien! d once told me that having OCD is perfectly fine, UNLESS it affects you! r, or someone else's, life. Your's is affecting your husbands, and probably your kids.Ask yorself what do you want on your headstone? Do you want " She was a kind and loving Mom, who always had time for fun", or "The house was always really clean"
Ileen Oshell: look, just don't be stupid and go do your laundry.k.
Charissa Bichsel: I love my house 2 be clean and tidy with 4 young children I have 2 be organised and know where everything is. I have 2 have the house clean b4 I go out, I couldn't go out leaving it a mess, not even just 2 take the kids 2 school.do u think I have OCD??
Marielle Hedeiros: Probably. Read the poem by Erma Bombeck and find out what is really important in life.p.s. wish I were more organized.
Susan Rambo: well maybe you should create a system like ask somebody to take your laundry to a place that will clean it and pick it up after school! or u could hire a maid or house keeper but thoses can be price-y so u could try keepin! g to organized and make a day on ur calender every week, month whatever when u do the laundry..all of it.. everything!
Byron Fortmann: Yes, you do. Oprah did a show about OCD recently. You need to get treatment for it because it will ruin your family's life. It gets progressively worse.
Jude Colbenson: Get off the internet and go wash clothes.
Chris Coggins: Use smaller towels for showers. It's hard to find the medium sized ones at the store that are big enough for my hair, but they make it a lot easier to keep up with the wash.
Sheree Hipwell: I wish I had it then!!!How do you find the time with 4 kids.My 4 leave a permanent mess behind them.If we had burglars they would leave thinking we had already been burgled!!!
Vida Miss: Do a load a day. One put it in the washer and the other put it in the dryer. Both fold and put away.
Nicolasa Henke: You can if you want to but it will smell bad after some time and it will ruin the stuffed animal.!
Rosalyn Olivera: i love doing lundary
Lana Uliano: each on! of you put a load in every other day... it all has to do with changing your habits and maintaining them...you both have to see the problem as a household chore priority, otherwise you'll be battling this by yourself
Josefine Weekey: Reuse bath towels. We never reuse washcloths, but we use our towels for a couple of days if possible. Just hang them to dry as soon as you towel off after your bath or shower. Also, many people come home from work, change clothes, then change again to go to bed. Consider keeping your workclothing on, or changing directly into clothing you can sleep in.Good luck! :)...Show more
Carter Edstrom: I have a husband and 3 kids. I never stop doing laundry. The only way I can keep up with it is to do a load before I leave for work, then when I return start another load and before I go to bed start another. Now the folding also backs up so I do it while watching TV, while cooking dinner and a load before I go to bed. Be sure to put up as soon ! as you fold it or it will stack up also. You just have to remember to keep it going.
Gaston Edgcomb: Visit your Mum & say "you know I could never get the laundry done as good as you used to" then leave the full basket & return the following week.
Luis Mellon: try to do a load every night. things like bath towels and other one use but not dirty items can be done on a quick wash cycle saving time per load or even using more than once will cut down on the amount you have to do.
Laveta Fathy: Small load daily and then if you have a free day do all of it.A load does help you will be surprised...
Tamatha Neubaum: I have this lotion that smells good can I rub it on a stuffed animal or would it ruin it ??
Jammie Taddei: put a load on everyday when you come in and at the end of the week it will all be done.
Rachal Osaki: I do not think you have OCD. There is a difference between OCD and just being Anal. Obsessive Compulsive Disorder is when a pers! on performs certain "rituals" in their everyday life, and if those ritu! als arn't carried out, they suffer large amounts of stress. Wanting to have a clean tidy house isn't OCD, theres no disorder for just wanting to be clean =).
Germaine Tieken: I have no idea. I have the same problem. I am about to do another 2 bags for the second time in 4 days.
Jimmie Doerfler: Rub it into your hands first real good, then wipe your hands over it.
Efren Clankscales:
Loise Mausser: If it's only the 2 of you, what's the problem? Stop being lazy and do your wash. Let him wash his own stuff and you do yours. What's the big deal?
Arlen Decorte: Do a load about every 3 days (whites) and then 3 days later do a load of (colors). It would also be helpful if your husband would do one load and you do the other - that way, each of you do one load a week......................It NEVER hurts a man to learn how to do this!
Norma Marsalis: It will ruin it.
Sunshine Holets: You may just be a neat-freak. You'd have to have a lot! more going on to have ocd. I have ocd and I won't even go into the weird things I have to do before leaving the house, but I will say this.....If you leave the house without cleaning and it bugs you to the point where you can't think of anything else....and you eventually stop what you're doing to go back home and clean....then you may have ocd. One of my "quirks", as I like to call them...some say "rituals", is to make sure there is no tissue in the toilet when I leave the house. I have driven 3 miles from home, turned around and come all the way back, just so I could check the toilet. Why? Because during those 3 miles, "tissue in the toilet" was ALL I could think of.That's ocd.Smooches;)
Isreal Kochheiser: If your husband is getting annoyed by it, perhaps you're taking it a bit too far. You say you wouldn't leave to do the school run before tidying, I used to do it after and the house was ok, since it was empty while I was out, it didn't matter when I tidy up.
!Andre Winegar: 1. If you can afford it use a dry cleaning service fo! r work pants and shirts so you only have to do undies and t-shirts at home. 2. Go to the laundry mat and use the extra large machines3. Hang up clothes to wear again if they aren't dirty, smelly, or soiled. Towels should last more than one day. 4. Train your husband now to help with the chores. If it's just the two of you maybe make it your Sunday tradition to do laundry and take turns switching it along. 5. Use it as a break from homework to throw in a load...Show more
Pam Rampadarat: Why would you put oil on the stuffy? Then you have an oil stain that will eventually turn rancid.
Jarrod Darnall: 1. I reported this but it's still here. Don't understand.2. Not sure why you've put it in cleaning and laundry
Woodrow Neyman: I have a laundry sorter that has three different compartments. One for whites, darks and towels. Once a compartment is full, I do a load. I also have a basket for dry cleaning and items to be hand washed.
Adrian Paraz: try this we! b-site.www.flylady.com she give house cleaning tips etc. She suggests doing one load at a time- start to finish. Wash, dry, fold and put away before you start another load. It does work
Filiberto Amauty: The only thing that I found was each day do a load when you get home. It worked for me. Hope you find something that works for you. I had to make myself do it every day, but it worked. Good luck.
Micah Schwarcz: Do one thing at a time!! As soon as you get up, put a load in the washing machine. While that is going, do your regular routine. Before leaving the house, put the load in the dryer. When you get home, put a load in the washer and take load out of dryer. Before going to bed, put load in dryer and fold load from 1st load out of dryer. Do this daily and it will solve your problem. Each act only takes about 5 minutes, but it will add up over the day. Good luck!
