It can be if you don't use it to your advantage and make it yours....for example if you are a young child and have nothing to do you can go on an online gaming site. If you are a teenager you also can use email/IM to chat with your friends. Using the AIM system you can talk in text, video chat, voice chat, and screen share with your buddies. You also can use the internet for facebook, twitter, myspace and more just remember to be responsible and never do/write anything you would be ashamed of if someone found out....Show more

Or if you're too broke to afford 'em, there's still some free ones out there (America's Army, Soldat! , Continuum etc., games which are focused on playing against other opponents via the internet, pretty damn neat eh?)
